This guide is used to access the Xperience application. There is an SSO within Xperience to take a user into the Banno Admin Platform (aka login.banno.com, banno.com/a).
Steps to install Xperience
- Open a case with JHA Help Desk by calling 8100 and ask to get a persistent VDI setup
- Using VMWare Horizon Client connect to the URL that JHA Help Desk gives you when they setup your Persistent VDI in step #1
- Select Windows 10 Standard Desktop
- Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 or newer. Install both the x86 and x64 versions.
- Click the start (Windows) button.
- Open “Software Center”
- Install “Xperience Client Agent”
- On the taskbar: right click on the “Xperience” icon and select “Configuration”
- click “add” and enter the following server address
Xperience-jxchangeGA-development.dev.jhaport443 - Close that window
- Right click the Xperience icon again and select “Manage Instances”
- You will be prompted for Credentials. Please reach out to one of the following people in Slack to get
@jha.devtest credentials: Ben Moran or Chad Killingsworth. - Click “Deploy”
- Select the NetTellerQA instance.
- Login to the NetTellerQA instance
Troubleshooting
- SSL Certificate error in VMWare Horizon Client when trying to connect to your new VDI instance
- Disable SSL certificate verification
- Open Preferences for VMWare Horizon Client
- Security tab
- “Do not verify server identity certificates”
- Routing issue from the Banno VPN
- Reach out to #org-tech-ops and ask that they open a case with JHA Networking to allow routing from the Banno VPN to the hostname JHA Help Desk gave you in step 1.
- Disable SSL certificate verification
- Error when trying to launch the Banno product in Xperience
- “Unable to create child window: Exception has been thrown by the targed of an invocation”: check CefSharp releases and make sure you have the appropriate version of C++ and .Net installed.
