Welcome aboard! Here you will find your place in this world (or at least on this team). We can’t wait to see what you build with us. During your time here at JH Digital we want you to create great relationships, grow as a product manager, and learn skills that will help you build and launch great products here and throughout your career. We want to see you succeed!

Take a look at some of the PM onboarding goals below.

PM onboarding goals

At the end of your onboarding, we hope you feel you:

  • Understand Banno and JH Digital’s history, organizational structure, culture, and values
  • Speak to the kind of work we do
  • Know what’s expected of you and what your expectations are
  • Start building relationships with other PMs and throughout JH Digital

Week 1

Relax, hold tight, and remember this is a marathon not a sprint. Your first week should be about getting set up with all your benefits, laptop, software, starting to understand what we do here, and who your immediate team is. This will also be the time to meet your People Experience Ambassador—a fellow PM who will help out with your onboarding and generally be there to answer questions and guide you.

Week 2

Alright, you’ve got your laptop setup, you’ve met your immediate team, and now it’s time to start branching out. Begin by meeting your domain’s engineering managers. Having a great relationship with these managers is imperative to your long-term success.

You’ll also start on your Pecha Kucha! Pecha what? The Pecha Kucha is a great way to tell us a little about yourself. You get 20 slides at 20 seconds a slide to tell us where you’re from, and makes you tick. Here are a few examples. This is optional, but highly recommended. If you’re up to it, plan on presenting your Pecha Kucha at one of your first full product & design meeting.
